Every individual is different:
Because we are all different, a thorough look at what makes you 'you' is necessary.
After filling out the necessary paper work (Click here to access the papers necessary) then you will be guided to Dr. Britton's office where he will start with a consultation. During the consultation be prepared to offer as much information as possible about what is concerning you. Dr. Britton will also likely ask many other questions, though they may not always seem pertinent to you at the time - it is all about finding out about your problems and the best way to get you back to optimized health.
After your consultation with the doctor, if he finds your case warrents an examination, then you will be guided to the examination room. During the very thorough examination Dr. Britton will evaluate not only the specific location of your problem (to learn more about your SYMPTOMS click here) but he will also evalute the rest of your body. The examination typically consists of multiple neurological, orthopeadic and chiropractic specific tests.
If the examination warrents further investigation by an x-ray, then, and only then, an x-ray will be taken of the areas that Dr. Britton is most concerned with. Any other advanced imaging or testing will be ordered and you will be referred out for those diagnostic tests - again, only if needed.
Typically this will end the first visit with the doctor and the time you should allow for this visit is approximately 45-60 minutes depending on the severity of your problems.
Dr. Britton will give treatment only when he knows it is going to be beneficial and he is comfortable with your condition. This may mean he will require further time to evaluate your history, examination and x-ray findings.
A follow-up visit - called a review of findings - is then scheduled so Dr. Britton can report to you what your problems are and how to obtain the greatest benefits from the services he offers.
